I've got 4 cameras and a doorbell. Honestly haven't had many issues that I can say were any fault of Arlo. Don't mind paying the subscription. I have the safe and secure plan which covers all our home security (plus replacement if any of the cameras are stolen) and on the go and personal protection. It's $25/month. I could do similar features from let's say OnStar for more money than I'm paying for everything combined through Arlo. They still meet my needs (just bought 2 new cams today) better than anything else out there.

After my neighbor had his home broken into in 2020. I witnessed the people returning to the scene of the crime. The actions was suspicious when they ran away dragging their dogs who was already barking. When I reported it to my apartment manager ( who was apart of those people criminal actions ) who told me I must be wrong they was her friends. 3 hours later after talking to the manager my home got violently broke into. I ended up getting 5 Arlo cameras. After a couple of good months I was signed out of my account. Then I could not see anything on my App. When I called Arlo they sent me to someone who was of Hindu accent. She was no help. I called back 5 or 6 times to solve this problem. Each time she would say to help me and send me to service help end of Arlo but I got no help and they claim to have no email address with my email address. Yet Arlo had no problems whatsoever with charging my bank account for the $15.98 for the use of the Arlo cameras that I bought that they did not know was not working. Anyone got any ideas 💡 on what to do about the Arlo cameras. Can I sell them or not?

And also on a mesh wifi system theynutilize the same subnet ip schemeif you wanted you could opt for a stationary added wifi access point like linksys WRT3200AC which installed aftermarket ddwrt firmware and repeat the signal off that mesh network system! Changing its ssid will only break its intended use as one unifying network and ssid system

Actually you would need to check your devices settings to makensure that an option if on older devices has where it will utilize the strongest wifi signal first which seamlessly switching if walking around the house! The dual band capability of a mesh wifi system is usually for compatability with legacy devices! 5ghz is now the defacto but 2ghz is just made for compatibility for older routers!

E off.I got it when I switched to Verizon from their store. I've been attacked and had attempts of forced entry and it had no video. I'm going to use it as a baseball, a very expensive baseball

On another video you talk about the pro's & con's of ditching the cable company's router for your own. It sounds like going mesh would require having your own router that you have more control over configuring than the Cable Company rented router, is that correct?

I went from coaxial internet to fiber to the home (FTTH) roughly a year ago and I LOVE IT. Of course I’m with my cable company still but atleast I have fiber with symmetrical speeds and more reliability and lower latency (due to not being on DOCSIS anymore).

Cameras are pretty good, no doubt. That said, you need a subscription plan for most of the best AI features to function. And sadly, the plans are outrageously over priced. Also, no ability for local storage. Cannot disable the doorbell without removing it. A million false notifications without the AI features, again only in the subscription plans. They try to sucker you in with the trial period where everything works, but after...only good as a live camera without subscription. It's a shame, the hardware is decent.
